My name is Kristi Ballard and I am honored to be part of the A.R. Turner Tribe. I love teaching in the same district that I attended school at. Willis is Home! Education has been my passion for most of my adult life. This is my eighteenth year in Education and my tenth year in a Kindergarten classroom. I received my Undergrad in Education from Sam Houston State University with a minor in Early Childhood and Reading. My Master's is from the University of North Texas and is in Library and Information Sciences. I love seeing the light come on when a child learns to read.
I also serve as a Co-Sponsor for the National Elementary Honor Society and the Turner News Flash.
My husband, Billy and I have been married for twenty-five years. Billy works for the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department as an investigator. We are the proud parents of two awesome kids! Our daughter, Meghan, is twenty-three and a graduate of Texas A&M University. She majored in Political Science with a certificate in Comparative Politics. She is continuing her education as she peruses her MBA at UT. Meghan is an active volunteer in our classroom. Our son, Ben, is nineteen and has just started his second year at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he is majoring in Digital Media. I love to read, sing and take pictures.
I am thrilled to be a part of Willis ISD tribe and I am ready for a wonderful school year!
