Greg Solberg, the assistant principal for A.R. Turner Elementary is entering his 4th year as a part of Willis ISD team. This will be his 8th year as an administrator and 19th year in education. Mr. Solberg is very excited and thankful to be part of this great staff and all the great students.
We have completed the STAAR testing. Thank you to all of the parents who had their children here to take the STAAR tests. Once again I am amazed by the Turner family, the staff, the students and the parents. Your dedication to the students and the school are nothing short of amazing.
I know this is the hardest part to believe but we are closing in on the end of the 2016-2017 school year. Where has the year gone? It seems as if it was last week I was walking into the door for the first time, excited to be part of the Turner staff. Excited to be working for Ms. Wilder, our new principal. My expectations were nothing compared to the reality of this year. I knew it was going to be a good year, but nothing prepared me for the fact this was going to be a GREAT YEAR!! Thank you all again for making me feel welcome and feel a part of the Turner family. I could have asked for something better but it would not have happened.
With that being said, we only have 5 days of school remaining. Not that I am counting. We just want to make sure that everyone is aware that May 26th will be the final day of school for the students. We will end at our normal school time, 3:40.
Please enjoy your summer and please be safe.
