Mary Lucas has three grown children and 7 wonderful grandchildren, ages 2-13. Her husband has been involved in prison ministry for over 20 years and is currently serving as a program director for TDCJ.
This is her second year to teach at Willis ISD and she is so happy to be here! She is beginning her 29th year of teaching and has taught every grade level from first grade through eighth grade. She has taught special education classes in Onalaska and Huntsville.
Mrs. Lucas believes that she can bring many years of knowledge and experience to Turner Elementary. She has helped many struggling students find success in reading and math. She loves working with children and establishing relationships with her students. Her philosophy in education is that she does not have a right to children's minds until she has captured their hearts. Mrs. Lucas works very hard to do just that!
Communication between teachers and parents is extremely important to ensure children's success. Please don't hesitate to contact her if she works with your child. Her email address is email@example.com
. Together we can help all students learn and be successful.
