Tressie Gallamore

Hi! My name is Tressie Gallamore and I am super excited about this school year.  I have been in education for a total of 15 years. This is my ninth year as an elementary school counselor.  I love working with children and believe that all children are a gift. As the counselor, it is my job to help enrich the lives of our students, and give them the tools they need to empower themselves and make good choices. I can help your student with decision making skills, self-esteem, anger, family and friend concerns, anxiety and worries, conflict and resolution, expressing themselves, organization skills,  and many other skills that will help them to be successful in school and in the future. I look forward to getting to know your children this year and teaching them through guidance lessons, small group and individual counseling. Thank you for sharing your most precious gift with us each day!
About me: I am the mother of two beautiful children. I have a 5 1/2  year old daughter and a 4 year old son. We also have two dogs - which makes for a sometimes very chaotic house - and we love every minute of it! I received my undergraduate degree in education from the University of South Alabama in 2001 and my Master's of Education in Counseling from Sam Houston State University in 2009. I am also an LPC-I (Licensed Professional Counselor Intern). I am working on my hours so that I can be fully licensed.  I am thrilled to be a part of the A.R. Turner team and honored to have the opportunity to work with your children.
