Mrs. Zapata is so excited to have your child in her first grade class this year! This is her 17th year to be a teacher. She spent 14 years in pre-kindergarten and this is her third year in first grade. She graduated from Baylor University . . . Sic ‘Em Bears! She lives in Willis with her husband and four kids. Trey is 17, Gabriel is 16, Max is 4 and Lily is 2. Life at her house is busy and so fun! She loves to exercise and shop. Also, she has a precious Labradoodle named Baylor. =)
This year will be a blast for your child. Mrs. Zapata will love your child like she loves her own!
Some background knowledge about her . . . 2015 was quite exciting! She won A.R. Turner Teacher of the year, Willis ISD Teacher of the Year and Region VI Teacher of the year! It was a crazy and exciting ride! She loved every second and has been so, so blessed!
Please feel free to visit her classroom. She loves volunteers and parent readers. She always has jobs for you to help with, if you are interested. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please call (936-856-1289), email (firstname.lastname@example.org), or stop by her classroom. The door is always open!
Be sure to take a look at the class newsletter. It is updated on the webpage weekly.
Mrs. Zapata looks forward to getting to know you and your child. By working together, your student will DEFINITELY be ready for second grade next year!
